We are urgently seeking support to aid Shipibo-Konibo communities in Peru’s Ucayali region, which have been severely impacted by catastrophic flooding. This is the worst flooding event in Ucayali’s recent history, leaving entire villages underwater. Countless Shipibo-Konibo families have lost their homes, livelihoods, and vital food sources.
Jakon Kibi is partnering with ASOMASHK (Asociación de Onanyabo Médicos Ancestrales Shipibo-Konibo), an organization of Onanyabo / Ancestral Medicine practitioners, to provide critical relief and long-term recovery support to Shipibo-Konibo communities in response to this catastrophic flooding.
